ÂAayirathil Oruvan a July 4 release

Finally, SelvaraghavanÂs magnum opus is set to hit the screens. A project that has taken close to two years to be made, SelvaÂs ÂAayirathil Oruvan will hit the screens on July 4 this year.
While many look up to this release as one long pending, industry folks remember it as the day last year when the most successful film of 2008 hit the screens, ÂSubramaniyapuramÂ. That film, directed by Sasikumar too, took more than a year to be made and hit screens after many hurdles, only to be the yearÂs biggest blockbuster.
One hopes that lock too trickles down to ÂAayirathil OruvanÂ. The film has Karthi, Andrea and Reema Sen in the lead, and the movieÂs music, composed by GV Prakash Kumar, is expected to be launched later this month.
The filmÂs audio will be released by none other than Kamal Haasan himself. Kamal, interestingly, had crooned a song for SelvaÂs previous flick, ÂPudhuppettaiÂ. This film is KarthiÂs second film and has Parthiban playing an important role in it. The movie is said to be a period thriller, and is produced by Dream Valley Corporation.
